André Watts burst upon the music world at the age of 16 when Leonard Bernstein chose him to make his debut with the New York Philharmonic. Two weeks later, Bernstein asked him to substitute for the ailing Glenn Gould, thus launching his career in storybook fashion. More than 40 years later, André Watts remains one of the most celebrated and beloved superstar pianists, acclaimed for his majesty, flair and musicality. His program will include works by Bach, Mozart and Liszt.
