Eddie Palmieri is celebrating his 50th anniversary in the music industry. The world has long admired the Spanish Harlem-born, 7-time Grammy Award-winning Palmieri as one of the foremost Latin pianists of the last half century. Able to fuse the rhythms of his Puerto Rican heritage with the jazz influences of Thelonious Monk and McCoy Tyner, Palmieri has continued to roll on with stylistic innovations over the years, mixing salsa with R&B, pop, rock, Spanish vocals and more jazz improvisation, revolutionizing the sound of Latin music.
