Southern California Recital Debut!

Tuesday, April 11
8 pm, Campbell Hall

“Masterful—his steely concentration releases
imaginative, risk-taking interpretations.”

Financial Times

The first Chinese and one of the youngest contestants ever to claim top honors at the International Chopin Piano Competition, Yundi Li is a global sensation noted for his exquisite phrasing and sparkling technique. His all-Chopin and all-Liszt recital discs were uniquely acclaimed throughout the world, one of them winning The New York Times “Best CD of the Year.” Li’s Santa Barbara debut will feature a program including Mozart, Sonata No. 10 in C major, K. 330; Schumann, Carnaval, Op. 9; Chopin, Andante spianato and Grande polonaise brillante, Op. 22; Liszt, Rhapsodie espagnole, S. 254.
