“A high-powered octet...featuring a first-call cast of musicians”
—San Francisco Chronicle

Back by popular demand, the brilliant group featuring a Who’s Who of jazz—including vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson, trumpeter Nicholas Payton and pianist Renee Rosnes—will perform a program that highlights the work of jazz icon John Coltrane with new arrangements by Grammy-winning arranger Gil Goldstein of Coltrane’s signature pieces as well as eight new compositions by each band member. “We know that they can play,” Variety writes, “that’s a given, considering the caliber of the musicians in this band, most of whom are jazz luminaries. What’s special is the progressive repertoire that they have chosen to champion.”
