After her sold-out 2002 performances of Happiness, the multi-talented writer/singer/musician Laurie Anderson returns to Santa Barbara with her latest solo show. Anecdotal, wide ranging and epic, this evening features music for violin and electronics. As NASA’s first artist-in-residence, Anderson will draw on her recent research and travels. Part travelogue, part personal theories, her new performance addresses relationships between war, esthetics, spirituality and consumerism and explores the contemporary meanings of freedom and time.
