“Muzsikás performed with understated charm,
abundant finesse and uplifting spirit.”
—Variety
Muzsikás triumphantly returns to Campbell Hall after its unforgettable performance in 2000. Featuring the otherworldly vocals of Márta Sebestyén, this Hungarian group balances the raw sound of the village with keen musicianship, whether playing Gypsy dances or exploring Bartók’s folk roots. Sebestyén might be best known for her haunting vocals on The English Patient soundtrack. The ensemble plays Eastern European folk and dance music with striking attention to detail, immediacy and passion.
