“The high priestess of multimedia technology.”
—The New York Times
One of the world’s premier performance artists, Laurie Anderson consistently intrigues and entertains audiences. Extravagantly talented, this visual artist, poet, composer, filmmaker, vocalist, instrumentalist and electronics whiz is creating a new work that features stories and simple, mainly acoustic, instruments. Like much of her multimedia work, this relatively unplugged solo project (“I am trying to work with as little equipment as possible.”) looks at contemporary culture through various filters: love songs, animal communication, synthetic language and techno burn out.
