An unforgettable evening of music is assured with this rare joint tour of Iranian classical music stars. Shajarian is Iran’s most renowned classical vocalist and recipient of UNESCO’s 1999 Picasso Award. Alizadeh, composer and former conductor of the Iranian National Orchestra of Radio and Television, performs on tar and setar (lutes). Composer and kamancheh (spike-fiddle) virtuoso, Kalhor is a member of the popular Ghazal Ensemble. Homayoun Shajarian will provide percussion accompaniment.
