In elaborate ritual headdress and robes of flowing white, black, reds and blue, seven monks offer ceremonial chanting and dances accompanied by gongs, cymbals, hand bells, wooden clappers and a huge barrel drum. The performance is composed of excerpts from Young San Jae, an ancient Buddhist ceremony unique to Korea and kept alive in remote monasteries.
