Oumou Sangare & Her Band
World Music Superstars from Mali
Thursday, April 8

An indescribably beautiful voice, a super-tight band and an amazing stage show.
Time Out New York

An Afro-pop sensation, Oumou Sangare performs Wassoulou music from southern Mali bringing a bit of Africa to local audiences. Sangares funky sound is made up of her gorgeous, dusky vocals and instruments ancient and electric: bass and guitar mingle with African harp and drums. Her back-up singers complete the scene musically and theatrically.

General public: $14/$17/$20
Students: 12/$14/$16
