A good-natured show, Radio Mambo is quick-paced, lively, tightly performed and full of precisely drawn characters. Los Angeles Times
Chicano comedy trio Culture Clash makes keen satire, affectionate and razor sharp. In Radio Mambo they skewer every segment of Miami's wildly diverse community--conservative Cubans, drag queens, retired New York Jews, nostalgic Black matrons, struggling Haitians and more. You may have seen their Fox-TV comedy series, but nothing compares to the split--second timing, incisive dialogue and phenomenal physicality they deliver onstage. Stay after Saturdays show for a Meet-the-Artists discussion.
General public: $14/$17/$20. Students: $10/$13/$16.
Part of Project Crossroads, a UCSB initiative supported by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.
