This innovative Bay Area ensemble is known for spirited programming, stellar musicianship and a unique performance style: the artists stand (except the cellists) and offer spoken “program notes” from the stage. They'll play Grieg’s Holberg Suite; the melodic Shostakovich Chamber Symphony for Strings; and the rapturous Dvorák Serenade for Strings.
