Rooted in Louisiana Cajun tradition--where plaintive French crooning married zesty banjo, accordion and fiddle playing--BeauSoleil makes music true to its history, with hot zydeco, blues, rock and swamp pop sounds welcomed into the mix. Composer, singer and fiddler Michael Doucet leads the band with toe-tapping high spirits and a deep appreciation of Cajun culture.
